today my Sunday school teacher told us that we're slowly dieing....i already knew that, but an interesting question popped into my head right after he said that... "if we're slowly dieing...then why do we call it life?" Hmmmm?? tricky tricky!! haha

I know! Isn't that a weird thought?!?! Thank yo so much for you letter, it really blessed an encouraged me-- I can't tell you how escited I am to have you as a friend! I was kind of extatic to hear that you love special needs kids and orphan care.

Ok: question 1: my birthday is... I tell you some time in real life to avoid creepy internet stalkers. :)

question 2: I have LOVED going to FCS. I started here in 6th grade and before that I went to public school. I was sad to leave my old school because I thought that it was like my family and I was drawn the to concept of covenant community--- even before I'd ever heard that expression. Anyway, I made more, closer, more genuine friends in 3 days at camp ten I did in 5 years in my public elementary school. Everything about the vision of FCs/Parish/New College Franklin entices me, and the people (including you and your wonderful family) are my family.

question 3: (how has FCS helped you grow)
As I said, relationally I'd never experienced anything like it. i know that they say "blah blah the teachers really encourage and love the students and help them do there best blah" because every school says that. But it really is true. I've told prospective families before that I'm convinced that ANY student who is willing to work can succeed at FCS. I have no doubt that no matter any learning disablity or family trama or instability, our teachers love their students and know that what they are doing is purposeful. This past week I was having a really hard time with some stuff spiritually and the 3 people that I went to (besides my parents) were two FCS teachers, and an FCS graduate, because I knew I could trust their wisdom and there love in this area. Acedmically, some classes are quite challenging, and some not so much, if you really do all of the reading for every class though, (not that I do that perfectly :) it makes the heard classes easier and the easy classes harder.

Wow, longest comment ever. I'm not trying to make you like the school or anything, and I'm not claiming that its perfect, no place is. But until the Lord come back, there is still work to be done here, and I couldn't be happier.
